Years of experience at your service!
Hiatt Printing originated as a franchise of "Postal Instant Press" when Dave and Jane Hiatt assumed ownership of an existing franchise on April 1, 1974 at 1716 North Wheeling in Muncie. Realizing $1,600 in sales in a month in those first years was exciting. Since 1974, Hiatt Printing has been evolving from a quick printer to a full-service, complete business printing operation. In 1985, a satellite store was added at 506 N. McKinley in the Ball State Village, targeting the needs of the Ball State University’s community, students and faculty. In 1988 our original 300 sq. ft. print-center facility was increased to 3,000 sq. ft. and we are now busting at those seams. Our sales have grown from $20,000 a year in the beginning years to peaking over $1 million a year in sales. In 1991 Dave and Jane Hiatt retired and sold the business to their son, Chris, who has since taken over the daily operation of Hiatt Printing. In October 1992, the twenty year franchise contract with Postal Instant Press ended and after much encouragement from their employees, the decision was made to operate independently. And Hiatt Printing was born. In May of 2019, Hiatt Printing was sold and merged with Spencer Printing, another local commercial printing company. Spencer Printing has been in business since 1987 at 4404 South Madison Street in Muncie. Spencer Printing is managed by Rich Mikels. We can handle all of your printing needs and assist you in all aspects of a quality printed piece - concept, design, production and finishing. Whether your job is one color or many, Spencer Printing is the printer who should be on your team.
